Composer, pianist, and author William Bolcom (b. 1938) is one of the cutting-edge figures on the American musical scene. A student of Milhaud and Messiaen, he has been noted for the development of a style of performing ragtime music which propelled him into the forefront of the ragtime revival. Bolcom has been on the faculty at the University of Michigan since 1973.


작곡가, 피아니스트, 작가인 William Bolcom(b. 1938)은 미국 음악계의 최첨단 인물 중 한 명입니다. 미요(Milhaud)와 메시앙(Messiaen)의 학생인 그는 래그타임 부흥의 최전선으로 그를 이끈 래그타임 음악 연주 스타일을 발전시킨 것으로 유명합니다. Bolcom은 1973년부터 University of Michigan의 교수로 재직해 왔습니다.
