Shostakovich Sonata Op.147 for Viola and Piano

Shostakovich's last work, the Sonata For Viola And Piano Op.147, is a superbly crafted Sonata in three movements with, unusually, a slow Adagio movement for the third. It was dedicated to the violist FyodorDruzhinin, a professor of the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory and a member of the Beethoven String Quartet, a renowned Moscow ensemble that played at the premieres of most of Shostakovich’s string quartets. Fyodor Druzhinin andMikhail Muntyan premiered the Viola Sonata in Leningrad on October 1, 1975.

쇼스타코비치의 마지막 작품인 비올라와 피아노를 위한 소나타 Op.147은 3악장으로 구성된 훌륭하게 작곡된 소나타로, 특히 3악장은 느린 아다지오로 구성되어 있습니다. 이 작품은 모스크바 차이콥스키 음악원 교수이자 쇼스타코비치 현악 사중주단 초연에 참여했던 모스크바의 유명 앙상블인 베토벤 현악 사중주단의 단원인 비올리스트 표도르 드루지닌에게 헌정되었습니다. 표도르 드루지닌과 미하일 문티안은 1975년 10월 1일 레닌그라드에서 이 비올라 소나타를 초연했습니다.
