The genesis of Chopin's Polonaise brillante Op. 22 leads back to his youth in Warsaw and the years of his first trips as a virtuoso. Designed as a concert piece with orchestra, it takes up a special position among the polonaise compositions of Chopin. However, by tradition, the work has always been performed as an extremely effective solo piece. Since no autograph has survived, the various first prints are used as sources. Comparisons show that the English first edition must have been based on the autograph manuscript of Chopin. The present new edition therefore rates this English edition more highly than usual. Thus, numerous discrepancies and omissions in the French definitive edition which generally is regarded as the most important source can be clarified and complemented. The notes on interpretation not only explain the relatively rare term 'spianato' but also provide information on Chopin's way of playing trills and appoggiaturas as well as on Chopin's tempo rubato. For that, sources from the vicinity of the composer, such as messages from his pupil Karol Mikuli, are evaluated.

쇼팽의 폴로네즈 브릴란테 Op. 22의 기원은 바르샤바에서 보낸 그의 젊은 시절과 거장으로서의 첫 여행을 떠난 시절로 거슬러 올라갑니다. 오케스트라와 함께 연주하는 콘서트 곡으로 고안된 이 곡은 쇼팽의 폴로네즈 작곡 중에서 특별한 위치를 차지합니다. 그러나 전통적으로 이 작품은 항상 매우 효과적인 솔로 곡으로 연주되었습니다. 자필 원고가 남아 있지 않기 때문에 다양한 첫 번째 인쇄물이 소스로 사용됩니다. 비교를 통해 영어 초판은 쇼팽의 자필 원고를 기반으로 했음이 드러납니다. 따라서 현재의 새 판은 이 영어 판을 평소보다 더 높게 평가합니다. 따라서 일반적으로 가장 중요한 소스로 간주되는 프랑스어 확정판의 수많은 불일치와 누락을 명확히 하고 보완할 수 있습니다. 해석에 대한 주석은 비교적 드문 용어인 '스피아나토'를 설명할 뿐만 아니라 쇼팽의 트릴과 아포지아투라 연주 방식과 쇼팽의 템포 루바토에 대한 정보도 제공합니다. 이를 위해 작곡가 주변의 출처, 예를 들어 그의 제자 카롤 미쿨리의 메시지가 평가됩니다.
