It was not until 1814, five years after the Sonata op. 81 “Les Adieux”, that Beethoven, then at the height of his popularity during the Congress of Vienna, returned to the piano sonata. The highly lyrical Sonata in E minor, the last piano sonata from his middle period, consists of two movements with solely German tempo marks and is dedicated to his piano-playing friend and patron, Moritz Count von Lichnowsky. In terms of technical difficulty regarding Beethoven’s later piano sonatas, this sonata is one of the more accessible for advanced students.

베토벤이 빈 회의에서 최고의 인기를 누리던 1814년, 소나타 작품 81번 "작별"(Les Adieux)을 작곡한 지 5년 만에 피아노 소나타로 돌아왔다. 그의 중기 마지막 피아노 소나타인 서정적인 E단조 소나타는 두 악장으로 구성되어 있으며, 독일어 표기법만 사용하고 그의 피아노 연주 친구이자 후원자였던 모리츠 리히노프스키 백작에게 헌정되었다. 베토벤의 후기 피아노 소나타 중 기술적인 난이도를 고려했을 때, 이 소나타는 고급반 학생들에게 비교적 접근하기 쉬운 작품 중 하나이다.


난이도: 베토벤의 후기 소나타들에 비해서는 기술적인 진입 장벽이 낮아, 전공자뿐만 아니라 상급 수준의 아마추어 연주자도 도전하기 좋습니다
