The JUNIOR PERCUSSION series was developed from practice for practice. The pieces were written specifically for students at a music school. The booklets are intended to introduce the world of ragtime. The pieces are arranged in ascending order of difficulty. In the foreword, Elisabeth Amandi provides some background information on the history and structure of ragtime. Ragtimes for mallet duo, see ZZM 27740, and for mallet trio, see ZZM 27750.
