TANGO - This is the World Music Ensemble Quadro Nuevo’s album which was released after a ‘Buenos Aires expedition’ with pianist Chris Gall. TANGO FOR TWO is a collection of 12 tangos scored for two instruments drawn from the album. As well as these original compositions, other pieces by Angel Villoldo (El Choclo), Carlos Gardel (Por una cabeza, El dia que me quieras) and Astor Piazzolla (Libertango, Oblivion) have been arranged for playing together. The series is available for tenor saxophone, alto saxophone, clarinet, trumpet, flute, violin and cello, in solo + piano or solo with CD versions. The CD contains all 12 tracks as play-alongs as well as duet versions. Mulo Francel and Chris Gall’s arrangements are moderately difficult.
