Tchaikovsky's 'Variations on a Rococo Theme' for cello and orchestra were composed in 1876-77 and indicative of the composer's love of Mozart and the classical style. The work's original cellist, Wilhelm Fitzenhagen had an important influence on the gestation of the work (an edition of Tchaikovsky's original version of the work edited by Raphael Wallfisch and John York is also available (EP7673)). This Edition Peters volume edited by Paul Grümmer contains a piano reduction of the orchestral accompaniment and separate cello part.

차이코프스키의 첼로와 관현악을 위한 '로코코 주제에 의한 변주곡'은 1876~77년에 작곡되었으며 모차르트와 클래식 스타일에 대한 작곡가의 사랑을 나타냅니다. 작품의 원작 첼리스트인 빌헬름 피첸하겐(Wilhelm Fitzenhagen)은 작품의 구상에 중요한 영향을 미쳤습니다(라파엘 발피쉬(Raphael Wallfisch)와 존 요크(John York)가 편집한 차이코프스키의 원본 버전도 이용 가능합니다(EP7673)).
